Creative Outlet

As a predominantly right-brained individual I have strong feelings about the importance of having a creative outlet. It can be anything- painting, sewing, cooking, or even organizing and designing. The goal of a creative outlet is to let off steam and maybe create something lovely. For me creating can go overboard into the stressful, often a day of creating has to be countered with an evening of reading to take my mind off the project in my workroom or the photos on my camera. But it is my passion, and I am blessed to make my living this way.

Choosing to be a photographer slowed down my sewing and cooking and painting hobbies. As a child, and teen, and twenty-something I found it difficult to choose. Photography has always been my love though- and I am able to accent it with creations from my other interests. I recently sewed a few baby rompers for new born sessions, made headbands and nests. All of my photography props and sets are made at home and give unique flavor to my work as a result.

Love what you do, and if you don't (or can't), find yourself a creative outlet that allows you to shine~ it will make you smile!
